Alissar is a people and healthcare leader with a passion for bringing forth the best in individuals and teams through mentoring, coaching, and strategic thinking to revolutionize the ordinary, and drive change. She offers twenty years of experience across multiple well-known healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and women networks in the United States. She currently serves as director of development for Ochsner’s national and international telemedicine and telehealth programs, and as an officer for WoW, Ochsner’s women empowering women diversity resource group. Alissar completed her undergraduate studies in biology with minors in chemistry and philosophy. She attended medical school, and when she realized that medicine was not her calling; she completed a dual masters’ degree in health administration and epidemiology. She enjoys discovering the world with her husband, Bashar, and children Sarmed and Amani. She currently lives in New Orleans, Louisiana.
